For Your Information

Many of you are aware that Wyndsor residents (the community behind ours) do not have access to the Charleston pool and tennis area any more. Charleston HOA is not offering memberships outside of our community at this time as we are totally
re-organizing our community.

Most of you also are aware that last year we were in negotiations with Wyndsor to form a joint recreation association. This association was an attempt to bring our communities together and share expenses and management of the common areas (entrances and recreation amenities) in a way that was fair to both communities and protected both community's interests. The attempt to form this recreation association was not successful.

In an effort to be transparent with members of both communities, the members of the Charleston HOA Board have decided to post the complete documented exchange of the important six emails that took place in September of 2010 between the Charleston Board and Wyndsor Board.. In these emails it becomes very clear that the Charleston Board made great effort to stay at the negotiation table with the Wyndsor Board, and only withdrew that effort when given an ultimatum by the Wyndsor Board to sign over the deed of the recreation amenities to them, making them the sole propietor. The Charleston Board was not willing to do this and so negotiations came to an end.

Please read the complete email exchange here. You will need a pdf reader to open (link opens new window).

As for any outstanding financial claims that have been made against the Charleston HOA by the Wyndsor HOA, we simply issue the statement: "Charleston HOA is in integrity with all of our past financial commitments with Wyndsor based on agreements that were in effect at the time and have documentation that verifies this".
